The bear is an animal associated with the nature o the north where it lives, between forest and ice. The body is divided in two levels: a full height central space, with a long central table and kitchen, ideal for convival moments, two small bathrooms and a sauna on the side, and above the bedroom area.
The interior is inhabitated by many objects, sculptures, books and images related to the Scandinavian mythology.
For this exhibition the team developed 3D modeling in order to understand spatiality, and the construction of URSUS II was realized in the first person by collaborators and architect Duilio Forte, head of Atelier Forte.
The XXI Triennale exhibition is a very important showcase for established architects, and for me it was an honor to be able to be part of it. That year I was the youngest contributor to participate in the international event.
